On December 14, 2022, the Scientific Council of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS) made a decision to establish the Organic Synthesis Institute Fund (LIOS Fund) according to protocol No. 21 (655).

The goal of the LIOS Fund will be to promote the development of outstanding research and higher education in Latvia in line with societal needs and market demands. Additionally, the fund will provide scholarships, allowances, and grants to students and scientific personnel for both education and qualification enhancement, as well as for scientific activities.

On June 29, 2023, the fund was registered in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia under registration number 40008326496.
